You though wrong. NIDA-5 is the basic test, not really the standard test. It tests the big 5 but then they can test for another 130+ drugs if they want to.
They can use different cutoff values for passing and failing. Most tests fail a donor if THC metabolites are above 50 ng/ml on immunoassay but they can use a 20 ng/ml cutoff in some cases.

Then there are different companies making tests, test equipment, test supplies.

In this case the article talks about first generation EMIT (that is actually a brand name of a test). EMIT is still around but it is on about the 3-4 generation of EMIT (every few years the research and improve the technology and then make a new generation of test). EMIT is a type of immunoassay.

I also have a feeling that CYRAX was subject to instant dip stick tests and there are about 50 companies that make instant dip stick tests.

So when I say type here it means the company that manufactured it, what technology they used, and then exactly what is the test testing for, the big 5, the big 10, the big 10 plus a few more, or everything possible. The everything possible isn't used that much.
