I think every device has it's own utility...blunts fuck me over completely (and I mean that in a good way, but you guys knew that), joints are great when you're in motion (smoked one every day for a year on the a.m. walk to my streetcar on the way to work), my glass pipe was great for breaks at work (walking around the French Quarter, taking hits in the alleys), and bong hits are like bullets to the head when you don't have ammo to waste. But I think my favorite way to get high is communally, with the help of a hookah. Just something about getting simultaneous bong hits with, like, four fellow smokers. Very "peace pipe" and all...

well on the joints-VS-bongs q.
i prefer...joints. ya can transport them, share them easily an chuck 'em if the police or parents or whoever comes along.
But bongs are great, i make my own (mcGuiver style )

I put tobacco in joints, but only because there is virtually NO weed im my area. lets put it this way, if i wanted to make a pinner out of pure weed, it would cost me about 7 euro.
Solid is all i can get here, but i use rolling tobacco or weak tobacco like silk cut blues.

personaly i dont smoke, but when it comes to getting stoned a prefer a joint, mainly because it takes a while for it to hit you (least me) as i'm not much of a hash person. i just do it every so often. so when i do i prefer it to hit me slowly so i still feel comfortable, i cant even smoke a whole joint and i put as little tobacco in as possible as the stuff makes me feel sick. although i do like the occasional bucket..buckets make me do some weird as shit.

if i do smoke a whole joint i usualy end up falling asleep.

I like bongs better then joints. Its just something about papers i dont like. Blunts on the other hand would be my first choice though. Pipes second. Bongs Third. And Joints fourth.

I smoked bongs for a few years and i regreted it. i think bongs are dirty especially when shared between friends. They are very bad for ur lungs because the smoke is drawn so far back into the lungs. I prefer a joint, i think they are also more mature than bongs. Bongs are for young kids

i disagree to the above post, i mean either way the smoke gets in your lungs, the bong filters out someof that crap, so much healthier

For me I smoke out of my bowl when I wake up and before I go to bed, and in Public places I smoke joints and when im in a Private place with a friend I smoke blunts, and I say there all good because they get me high and thats all that counts to me :P
