Im a joint and blunt person myself, I like how herbalmeditation said it:

down here it's live by the joint, die by the joint.. of course bowls give you fatter rips and shit like that but the best taste of weed comes from a joint, that and they last longer... and to me, nothing beats a session with da boys passing around a doobie....

Also, they arn't wasteful if u roll them right and have someone to pass it to after u take a hit.

Oh, and yeah, i think joints do take longer to air out, plus for some reason they stink up the place more than bowls do.

LOL I was gonna say that. I been tokin over 15 years, but only smoked my first blunt on Monday. Now I'm a total convert, but there's only a couple of shops that sell them here & they're well expensive. Worth it, though

Just go to a convenience store, buy a Phillies blunt or a White Owl, bust it open along a straight line, empty out the tobacco...and voila...blunt paper...
You can roll up as little as a gram in these, depending on how long you want it to be.

I thought everyone knew that...oh well, goes to show just how different we are.

imagine this:
sitting in ur pajamas, watching saturday morning cartoons, a big ass bong in your lap. what could be better? they arent wasteful and it hits you like a bag of bricks if you have a really nice hitter. but the question could also be raised, would you prefer a bong with a large chamber and not that much water in the bottom or a lot of H20 in the reservoir and a tiny chamber? i myself would prefer the larger chamber. when you suck that sh*t in, you know you got a nice hit of thick, delicous smoke. they are a bitch to clean though. thats their only draw back.

I have found that if I put just a few drops of water at the bottom of a water bong and smoke it dry, the heat starts to vaporize the water, and somehow that makes it much much easier to scrape the resin off the walls of the bong. Then, all this resin gets recycled...it's just so easy that way...and you wouldn't believe the amount of resin you can collect just from a quarter bag or a half....

depends for outdoor smoking in public it gota be a nice inconspicuos 1 skin joint but when im all alon i like a good few bowls

Im goin with Edgar, if you think joints are wasteful you arnt rolling them right.
Think of all the resin that builds up on bowls and bongs, that right there is waste. With joints you're smoking from tip to end, the smoke is filtered by the remaining bud which is also eventually smoked.
When you smoke a bowl you are constantly applying flame to it, more flame is more heat which is more THC being destroyed. Joints on the other hand you should only have to light once, when you arn't hitting it somebody else should be and even when nobody is hitting it there is only a small trail of smoke rising.
The last hits are the best, and anything that remains can be re-rolled.
