Meeting other stoners

I'm quite new to the whole drugs scene - it was only a few months ago that I first started smoking weed at my university. Since then I've taken a great liking to the herb, and had some fantastic experiences at the end of my term. Getting stoned with friends is like nothing else, but I also like getting high by myself; the feeling of total tranquility helps me chill out and write (something else I've been doing for years, and weed has only improved it!).

The problem is that now all my friends have returned home for the summer, I'm all out of the stuff. I assumed it would be easy getting some more, living right next to Bristol, but unfortunately I didn't factor in my horribly sub-par social skills. I've tried to contact old friends on myspace and the like, but it seems everyone I knew who smoked has moved away or they simply don't respond to my messages. I wandered around town for about 4 hours the other day, and the only thing I managed to find was that my legs ached like hell!

I've tried everything since then then, from emailing the owners of the head shop I visited in Bristol to asking people on sites, but I've found that most people don't like to talk about actually dealing, for fear of getting caught of otherwise.

So my question is, how do you suggest making druggie friends when you're a lone stoner with no friends in the area and no weed? I'd grow my own, but since I live in a house with my parents it would be pretty difficult, not to mention the fact that I don't want to wait that long! It's pretty obvious I'm reaching the end of my tether. Nobody ever said finding weed away from uni would be so damn hard!

p.s. I don't mean to sound like I'm asking for weed or anything (I've already found out how counteractive that method is =P), I'm just pretty worn out and though there's lots of advice on how to smoke weed, people never seem to talk about actually meeting people that sell it! The knowledge would sure come in handy for later in life, and I really want to break in the Vaporizer I just got in the post ... :rastasmoke:

improve the social skills, go to parties that your old friends from high school are surely having right now and look for a stoner.


If that does nothing for you, go to a concert and look there. Most people in places like that don't mind sharing, at least if you are nice and dont look fendish.

Go out and meet new people, even if they don't smoke weed theres a chance they know people who do.

I believe you have a bad goal in mind to begin with. You shouldn't go out with intentions of meeting druggie friends. Sure you need a hook, but what you really should search for is regular friends who smoke some green on the side. Ask and you shall recieve. If you ask for druggie friends, you'll get druggie friends. Every clique has somebody who smokes weed. Just gotta meet 'em.

Go to the regular places people meet people. People know people. Casually mention smoking pot to somebody (after assessing their coolness). See if they wanna ride around the block and burn one after the bar closes or show lets out. Exchange numbers. Do whatcha gotta do.

It depends on how old you are too. If you're young, look for the kids that smoke in the bathrooms at school. They usually smoke pot too. Hang with them after school. If you're old/whatever enough to drink, invite a couple folks over for a night cap. If they seem cool, break out a joint. Or do the after bar ride thing.

Cali is the best. every day i meet new people by just walking up and asking them if they wanna match some bowls or smoke a j with me
