Refferal cost?

i have been throwing around the idea of getting a Med card. i have spoke to a few docs over the phone and all said i would prob qualify. (various reasons)

My question is it a standard to pay the $150 for a referral? has anyone else paid less?

With some of them, you are seen by a nurse or "medical technician" and there is some debate whether these people can legally give you a recommendation. It would be a real bummer to find out that you weren't "legal" after all. I paid the $150 and I feel it is worth the cost! Oh, that first "legal" joint is a mind-blower!
