Love causes your brain to maintain high levels of dopamine and seratonin, and of course there's those "moments" with endorphine rushes to boot. Losing a love, neurochemically, is very much the same thing as going into withdrawl; similar to cocaine withdrawl actually. Love, unfortunately, also carries the psychological aspect of interpersonal atachment to deal with as well.


It will subside CC, though it may take a good while and it may still linger in the back of your mind for a good while after that. Life has a way of balancing itself, the extreme joy from love inevitably carries the extreme pain from loss.
