The worst pain in the world

My mother died from a broken heart. My parents were married 50 years and my dad died. 3 months later my perfectly healthy mother died. Her heart was simply broke. She couldn't(wouldn't) go on without him. Broken hearts are real.

i have to agree, a broken heart is the worst pain. My grandmother died a couple years ago a year after my grandfather died, together for 66 years. She was so lost without him and was in perfect health. All of a sudden she goes into cardiac arrest and not even 8 hours later they called her death. I hear its as if you can feel your heart eating it self. until theirs nothing left. the blood flow slows down, it hurts to breath.. i think that would be the worst pain... and let me tell you iv been in accidents iv had my share of pain...

Love causes your brain to maintain high levels of dopamine and seratonin, and of course there's those "moments" with endorphine rushes to boot. Losing a love, neurochemically, is very much the same thing as going into withdrawl; similar to cocaine withdrawl actually. Love, unfortunately, also carries the psychological aspect of interpersonal atachment to deal with as well.

It will subside CC, though it may take a good while and it may still linger in the back of your mind for a good while after that. Life has a way of balancing itself, the extreme joy from love inevitably carries the extreme pain from loss.

"He who has a thousand loves will carry a thousand woes" - Buddha
\"I think your love of the halfling\'s pipeweed has slowed your mind\"

    - Saruman
