They're coming to toke your take away
Fuck heads. They already think we're a bit mad because we like the green life, so what's to stop them introducing compulory programmes for us next. I'm sure i heard someone talking about the government suggesting banning smoking in your own house. What's going on with the world. It's only 40 years ago since they locked people up for finding their inner rainbow.
They have reached a compromise with the controversial bill where people can only be detained for their own therapeutic benefit, whatever that means, not being able to get blazed and listen to Frank Zappa no doubt.

I also heard this and that's why i was against the 'indoor smoking ban' because i thought that this is not going to end here. I actually agree with the idea in principle. Anything that improves the nations health ( generally ) has to be a good thing, i just thought that the way 'smokers' opinions and views were completely overlooked gave off sinister overtones. I would also like to know where the shortfall in taxes (2-4 billion annually) is going to be made up. Obviously less strain on the NHS due to a reduction in smoke related illnesses although these benefits would not be felt for a few years. For me it's just another example of the slow but steady erosion of our civil liberties and freedom of choice. And for all of you that like a 'tipple' be aware, the 'drinks voucher system' is the next bright idea effectively limiting the amount of drinks you can purchase. Again, in principle a sound idea with regards to public health and reducing 'binge drinking but again limiting the amount of choice you have in the running of your own life. Rant over
