silence!?
I dont mean any disrespect by this thread, in fact, i mean the opposite..
100,000-150,000 people have been said to have died due to the tsunami in indonesia and asia.. Many countries are donating lots of money to help. I respect that.
Now, the other day, I was watching the news, and there was a 3-minute silence all over the European Union. and i thought "how the fuck is that going to help?" the EU is made up of alot of countries, so that must be millions upon millions of people that showed their 'respect' by not talking for a coupla minutes.. now, I can show respect in my own way, without having to be queit for a bit to show my respect, in fact, i dont see how silence even shows respect. Now, like i was saying, there must have been millions of people that respected the 3-minute silence, so, instead of not talking for 3 minutes, why didnt every one of those people donate £10 or 10 euros or whatever to the tsunami relief? they could have raised hundreds of millions of euros or pounds in 3 minutes!! now to me that seems like a hell of alot more helpful and productive then being silent for three minutes, and then going back about your businessGHoSToKeR Reviewed by GHoSToKeR on . silence!? That's an easy one. It's easier to stand around and pray than to give or, God forbid, actually DO something. Human nature is not pretty GT. There will be no peace on this earth. Not until...

yeah, youre right.. well fuck all these Silences to show my respect. I show my respect in my own ways.. shit, you wanna know how many people ive nearly punched because of them telling a tsunami joke!
this is my idea.. instead of standing in silence, and then forgetting about it, to what i do.. every time you walk past a collection bucket for tsunami relief, every time you see people collecting money for tsunami relief, every time you walk past a shop or charity that says theyre collecting aid money for the tsunami relief, just drop some change in, whatever you can spare, even if its £100 or $100, or 1p or 1c, just do something.. im sure those poor people in asia will appreciate that more than you standing thee in silence for a couple of minutes

We should help those people with everything we have. Hell, outsourcing alone should be a motivation. Oh, no, I know I'm gonna catch hell for that one!!!!
