Anyone know if this is true?

Here's my story. I've been a cronic user for the past three years while in college, around a quarter ounce to a half ounce of mids and schwag per week, occassional cronic, all forms of inhalation (bong hits, blunts, pieces, etc.). Recently I graduated and now I'm hitting the job market. I've been clean for the past 10 days, and have been sweating quite a bit working (construction/landscaping). I'm 5'11" 240.

How long do you think I have to go before I pass?

I've heard of it taking up to 3, 4 months, especially for cronic users with a long history. Also, urinalysis only but if you want to comment on other forms which I doubt employers will use feel free. I'm hoping someone with a similar body type build could help me out and share their experiences. I've read up on how to beat it, but I'm just wondering if I should sweat it or not.

There are more factors than just the above that goes into how long it takes to get clean. I just answered a similar question for someone else (KrissyKay or CrissyKay) but some studies show the opposite.

Get a home test. In vaires greatly from one person to another. Being 5'11" and 240 is working against you because skinny people tend to get clean more quickly.

Really the high end of the range for most people is 60 days. I know of only one person who took 3+ months and that was someone who was 400 pounds and lazy and smoked an insane amount of weed. They took 105 days to test negative. I have never seen 4 months. Some chronic smokers will take 60 days but 30 days for a daily smoker is kind of the rule of thumb. Some less, some more.

I also like your sig, I'm going to get a panel test kit and see how it turns out. I've heard 30 days for the average smoker, with me it would probably be more like the 60 day range.

It makes sense that the longer range is for very overweight types since the metabolites are stored in the fat cells. But I've also heard that exercising like within a week before the test doesn't help either because it releases the metabolites back into the urinary system. Some stuff I've read even says to eat plenty of fatty foods in the week before the test. I just don't know what to believe. I think I'm going to safe route with substitution and using dilution as a backup.

Achiever, great job, you have been doing your research! K+ for you. Exercise should be stopped 3-5 days before the test if you are diluting because those extra metabolites you are burning up with exercise have to end up somewhere, in the urine and elimination by the liver too. So the exercise can be counterproductive if done too close to the test date. Eating fatty foods 2-3 days before the test helps keep the body from releasing THC from fat tissue. You understand the role of body weight in how long it will take you to get clean. Finally, you decided to go with subbing and dilution as a back up, the plan that gives you the best chance of passing.

Employment drug tests are not observed unless you give them cause before the test such as not emptying pockets when asked, or not removing outwear when asked, obvious container under clothes. If you go with subbing the key is to practice. Find the container you are going to use, fill it with water, and secure it to your body. Do some things around the house and check the temp every 30 minutes or so and when it stays in the 90-100 degree range consistantly, then repeat it for the test. Practice practice practice.

If you want to do some home testing you can search online for home drug tests and get them for around $2 instead of paying $15 in the store. You may not take 60 days to get clean but it is possible that you may fall in the 30-60 day range.
