so like i said i bought it but didnt have to use it ... how long until it goes bad? will it even go bad at all?

2 Year shelf life and the company has some kind of replacement deal when they go to 5.0.

I think it is closer to 18 months. The manufactor date is encoded somewhere on the bottle. It is a great company though because they did the same replacement deal with 3.0 to 4.0 which was the addition of creatinine I think.

They asked me to take another. But I wasnt going to actually piss so it came up positive, I wanted to keep my job.

I came up with a BS excuse about having a meeting to go to and no time to take it again. They failed me, but I spoke to the employer and told them the same BS and they were willing to let me take the test again.

That time, I made sure to have the heating pad on, it in the proper place, and I checked the temp before pouring, as I realized its easier to say I cant piss yet then it is to piss clean after you wasted your clean sample.

dude check it out. I just tested a few days ago, and I tested 3 heat pads.

QF heat pad was way too hot.

The Icy hot big pads were too hot, but the icy hot small pads (only half, not the full 2 pieces) were heated to 99-100f, to 10 seconds from heat pad to goto 98-99.

Really man, it worked no issues. I didnt feel secure enough without pad, even with all the practicing. Im happy I included it.

Did they change pads recently with QF? I found that when I followed the instructions, heated up the bottle with the liquid in the microwave to above the top temp marker on the bottle, (about 20 seconds iirc), and then put the activated pad on there, tucked it between the legs and went to the testing site that it was perfect temp by the time I got in to pee.

Took a few tries worth of practice. Thankfully the QF can be reheated if need be, so I ran quite a few practice runs to make sure temp wouldnt be a problem.

i go in today for my 1st day in 2 hours. i just practiced with the QF lodged in my tighties in my gooch and it only took 10-12 minutes to warm to 92degrees. granted i was laying down with my legs crossed though. it would be smart to warm it up and wrap a heat pad just to be cautious right? do they have to tell you a day in advance before the test?:smokin:

OK, see that makes sense and I'm sorry they failed you the first time but I'm glad you got through it. Next time know that 90-100 is the range and if they fail you know your rights. There is a comment section for the temp after the yes or no boxes. Tell them to record the actual temp in the comment field and send it off. If the collectors are that incompetent, the MRO will see everything and work through it. :thumbsup:

When I pulled out My QF it was at 100 degrees. It was in the pouch of My fruit of the looms for a hour and a half. It was a paper heat pouch with a sand like substance in it. It stayed hot for at least 5 hours.
