Lord of the Rings Online
Well I played LotRO all day today, still playing it, though I need to go to bed I have a class tomorrow.
This MMO is completely awesome, shaping up to be my favorite MMO if it keeps this up
My character Taul - Dwarf Guardian

The whole "grind" that people complain about in MMOs is much improved in LotRO. For one thing killing 100000 boars outside the city for xp isn't encouraged in this game, most of the xp comes from quests and there is a lot of quests. What I like about them is the dialogue in them is top notch and makes the quests feel more important and you seem to care more about the quests, especially the storyline quests. Which is another thing. Warcraft had a lot of lore to fall back on, but it's almost nothing compared to the lore and nostalgia to be found in LotRO.
Any grinding you do, do doesn't seem as annoyiing, probably because on top of the all the nice questing you have these deeds to earn titles, almost like Xbox Live achievements So going out and killing a bunch of Goblins might earn you a nice little title to sport around, all these nice little rewards/titles break up any tedium I might have while leveling. The character models look like they could come from WoW but the environments are absolutely gorgeous.
I haven't encountered anything that's given me a negative vibe yet. Granted I've only just begun (one full days play in a MMO is absolutely nothing in the scheme of things) But considering I just came off of quiting WoW just a few months back I would think any annoying traits in the game would irritate me rather quickly.

Jeko,
I checked into that for you here's what you do to get a 10 Day Free Trial for LotRO
Download the Low Res Trial Version Client Here:
Item Detail
Then call Turbine customer support:
1) Call: 781-407-4020 between the hours of 12pm to 9pm EST.
2) When asked about what kind of support select: Account Management
3) When asked about what game select Lord of the Rings Online
4) When the person on the phone answers, they ask you for your first and last name, give it to them.
5) When they ask you for the account name say: "I don't have an account, I was told if I call this number you would give me a buddy key".
They will tell you to hold for a minute, but when they come back they will ask you if you want it emailed or if you want it written down (25 chars long). There you go! Enjoy the Trial

No problem,
I just got done switching my profession I was building from armorer to a farming profession. It told me in the instructions that I'll be learning to be a master cultivater of Pipe Weed.
You have to know I cheered for that. My character has a bunch of pipe weed seeds of various types in his baggy and I got my farming tool...now to find a farm I guess. I probably will need to leave the snow filled blue mountains to find one. I'm going to have the best Pipe Weed plants in all of Middle-Earth.

There's a different take on PvP in LotRO called PvMP (Player vs Monster Player) You bascially get a secondary "Evil" character to play with if you want when you get your main character to lv 10 in the game. This Evil character you choose starts off at lv 50 and you can train him and equip him just like your real character. You go around doing evil quests and fighting high level "Good" Player characters. On the other side of the fence once your real character hits 40 you can participate in PvMP on the good side and fight other evil player characters.
