brittish accents are annoying! cant stand them, and family guy makes fun of it! and your guys' military might be well trained, but remember what happened to well trained in the revolutionary war?? one question, do you guys still fight standing in lines marching??? and whats up with having a queen, shes just a figurehead anymore, no power at all, atleast our "president" can still control the contry, along with the other handful of people in his back pocket that are working to control the entire world oil market, lets get this bloody cunt out of office over here, then we will debate!

It was the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and was the first country in the world to become industrialised.
England is home to the Royal Society, which laid the foundations of modern experimental science.
Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web, http, html, and many of the other technologies on which the Web is based.
Frank Whittle, inventor of the jet engine.
Charles Babbage, inventor of the first computer (in the nineteenth century).
Alan Turing and Tommy Flowers, inventors of the modern computer and its associated concepts and technologies.
Joseph Whitworth, inventor of many of the modern techniques and technologies of precision engineering.
Joseph Swan, developer of the light bulb.
They are just a very small selection of things we have discovered, and contributed to the world. - This is nothing to do with what country is cooler, but England wins hands down if we think about what country has contributed the most to the world.
I'm not saying America hasnt, you've made lots of contributions, C02 being the biggest LOL.

LIP, Berners-lee didn't invent the internet. He just created the most popular interface for it. Leonard Kleinrock and J.C.R. Licklider first wrote about a "galactic network", and Larry Roberts created the first long distance functioning connection (ARPANET). Then Kahn and Cerf came along and created TCP data movement, which officially started the internet. But Berners-Lee was a damn genious.

Considering the U.S. has only been around 331 years we are doing damn good in our contributions to the world Lip.
We had Henry Ford who took it to the next level with the moving assembly line.
