Flowering NL any advice?
Hi all, i have this Norhern Lights baby, 7 weeks into flowering, i have been watering her about every 2-3 days, not sure if i should cut back on that alittle now, but she seems to be drinking it quick, although the last few days her fan leaves have become Very droopy and not looking get as you can see from the pics? Is this normal or is it over watering, too much ferts etc?? Also i cut a few of the lower fan leaved to help get light to the lower buds, not sure if that was wise - might be the reason for the droopyness?? Any advice would be apprciated!!
Another Q: Should i not give her any more of the Canna nutes growth and bloom now i am close to harverst?
Also, i have had her on 11/13 for about 3 weeks now, i read that this will make the flowering process longer by 10% - 25%??? producing bigger buds?? Is this true and if that is the case i hope to Havest her in about 2-3 weeks? (week 9-10) Please tell me if i'm wrong on this, keep looking at the Trichromes but hard as i dont have a great magnifying glass, maybe one of you guys/girls can help!! happy toking and thanks!!!! :rastasmoke:mikee123 Reviewed by mikee123 on . you should be nearing completion, at 7 weeks of flower ... NO more nutrients, just water, from here on ... try to keep your humidity down, so molds can't form in the buds ... GET a 30x magnifier, very necessary for correct determination, and not that expensive ... Radio Shack has a pocket microscope for about $10, surely other sources sell something like that, too ... very popular with growers ... the little 'light-cycle' tricks don't do anything, mostly urban myth ... don't expect that to make any difference, just go with 12/12 next time (there is some speculation that a couple days of darkness, just before harvest, forces resin into the buds (jury is still out on that, I'll believe it, when I see a difference) ... nice plants, they look healthy, good job

I agree its a myth
as to the leaf removal....think of those fan leaves as bud engines...just tuck them out of the way to allow lite next time
no more nutes, actually Id give her a final flush now....the leaves are very dark green for this stage which means you have more than enough nutes there in the plant alone to finish it out & your droop may infact be nitrogen toxicity, given the dark, dark green leaves.
on the last gallon of flush add 2 teaspoons of molasses as a carbo boost and the sugars aid in the breakdown of chloryphyll, for a better final taste

Thanks for the advice guys!!!
I guess next time i will leave all the fan leaves and just let nature take it toll Thanks for clearing up the 11/13 cycle!!! I have read so much about this about it's hard to know who is right - lol!!
Was wondering if you could tell me... she has seemed to get worse over the last week like she is dying BIG time, the leaves a very droopy, and big claws that seem to get worse ever day as you can see in the photos
2 days ago i gave her a good flush of water like you said Ganja thinking this might help, same result! Also drilled some holes in the pot to help with the air.. shit i dont know??? Stopped with the nutes also now so just fresh water from now!!! Is this normal towards the end of flowering and she's telling me it time to cut her down, any advice would be appreciated!! Still havent got a good microscope so see the tric's is hard, but i do see a few amber trics!! Any ideas peeps?

its possible the leaf curl is from being rootbound but im certain its the "nitrogen claw" & that wont go away
dont sweat it your about to finish out,
get a microscope sounds like its almost ready to harvest

Flowering NL any advice?
Thanks guys... Just a few questions so i know more for my next grow that i plan on starting nxt wk! Seem to get more advice here!!
Her leaves are really getting bad now and this morning i noticed all of these yellow spots on her, it looks like it's getting worse as the day goes on and looks like she is really dying now! At the bottom of the plant the leaves are turning brown/black and just look fucked and wilted!!! Is this nutes lock out or just Normal behaviour toward the end of flowering? Havent given her any nutes for the last 12 days so could it be that? I have looked at the different deficiencies, but not sure if these still count when soo close to harvest - her trics are still not that amber so will leave her another 5-7 days!! happy toking guys and thanks!

thats PH spotting
complete a soil runoff PH test.......
with PH corrected water (6.5-6.8PH ) pour enough water in the pots so the water runs out the bottom of the pot ...test the PH of this water....
If the PH reading is out of optimum range 6.5-6.8 PH, you need to flush your plant.
Flush with PH corrected water, till in optimum PH range, 3 times the volume of the pots rule of thumb but may require more
EG: 1 gal pot = 3 gal. flush

this late in the stage you should do yourself and the plants a favor and purchase a commercial flusher (if thats your problem) which is what the symptoms look like...use a product such as Botanicare's Clearex...you only have to use 2 quarts of water per pot...therefore you wouldn't be drowning your plants in their last week of flowering...will make a big difference in the final product (Better buds) and this product is specifically for flushing plants at anytime during growth...if used 3 days b-4 harvest my buds really swell for some reason
