My dad wsa a good dad and I am only just really starting to appreciate it.. in fact, now that I am almost 30, he's a better father to me NOW.
It was hard for a kid to figure out that dad didn't leave the family just becasue mom got custody... SHE left and took the family with her.
Not until I came to grips with that did I finally begin to look at my own relationships in a more healthy way, rather than looking for a father figure.
Happy father's day Papa! And happy father's day too to my stepdad, who has always treated me as his own daughter.
