Every now and then a focus group calls me and I get to go to an office answer some questions, get free food and go home with 75-100$. the questions are usually about somthing involving advertising and what appaeals to me (teenanger).

So one day me and my friend who is also in their database get called up. We arrive only to realize that we are going to get questioned on how much a AboveTheInfluence website prototype appeals to us! Of course me and my friend had toked before we arrived making it even more ironic. As we get into the main room I immedatly pointed out to my friend the gaint two way mirror witch they failed to tell us about until half way through their presentation.

For the actual questioning they would show us a part of their website on a big projector and ask us weather we liked it and why. Usually they asked us about formats and page desines. I almost always replied that they were making it look way to trendy and wanna-be-cool-teen, witch since their trying to make it appeal to teens and play on their insicurities, did't help them at all. One thing thats noticable is that during their presentation they had a "ask doc" page in witch you could email "doc" about any drug questions you had. when they asked me and my friend if we thought we would use it, I told them only if they could show some type of certification that i was emailing sombody actually knowledgeable. Of course now that the website is up its nowhere to be found. after about an hour and half of me an my friend stifiling our giggles we were sent on our way with 75$ cash and free pizza.

I posted this beacuse I just now relaized that the current aboveTheInfluence website is the one that was presented to us.
