Same way I have since I was 10... in a pot put a Qt of whole milk warm it and NEVER boil it,,,it will seize!!! melt in 1 pound of "Land-O-Lakes" Yellow American cheese and 6ozs of "Kraft" extra sharp cheddar,,,reserve 8 slices of the american... stir all the cheese in piece by piece till melted... Par boil a pound of elbow like only 2 mins,,,you want them still quite hard... put elbows in a baking dish and pour the cheese sauce in,,,it will look like to much,,,but don't worry,,,thats the good part... bake at 350° and watch it boil till the it almost stops,,, half way through that put the reserved slices of American cheese on top,they will brown a little... Good fish sticks and your in heaven...

I only use Land-0-Lakes american,,,I don't know where it's available,,,but a good creamy deli american should do...
