Dutch Masters Feminiser to Control hermies? (Zandor)

I was reading a post by Zandor about using Dutch Masters Feminiser to control Hermies... How does this work? Will it stop the production of the male flowers? Or will it just keep the male flowers from opening up and releasing their pollen. I'm just curious about this and the best way to apply. I just discovered one of my plants has turned herm and it just happens to be the only plant (other than clones I took before putting into flower)I have of that strain and it is actually the BEST strain in the room at the moment. I really dont want to have to kill it off cause it is a fast maturing plant and i think that I only have 2 weeks left. But at the same time i dont want to risk pollinating all the other plants in the room as well...

What should I do? I will post a pic of it a.s.a.p.

PLEASE Help. I'm new and dont' know what to do...

Yes, its called Reverse now....Reverse has to be used on day one and day 10 of 12/12...it cannot be used just whenever to stop hermies. I'm afraid you missed the boat with it on this grow. I use it religously and have not had a hermie since I started using it. :thumbsup: I STRONGLY recommend it.

Yeah. Well. I was going to attempt to control them by carefuly picking the male flowers. but im scared of poping thm open in the process and jeopardising the rest of the crop...

Ive never polinated anything before. How badly will one hermie polinate ann indoor crop? I'm just curious what, kind of dammage(seed production) I could expect if I leave them...

So far there is only 1-3 little 'bananas' on about every other bud. Lookes at the trichs today and they are still clear as can be which tells me I still have a little while to go before maturity...

oops WH forgot to mention that I have a bottle of feminiser. (the old stuff I guess) but never been opened yet. Its defenately going to be open now :thumbsup:

Yeah, read up on it before you do.....I know it has to be used early in bloom to be effective and is supposed to be used with something called penetrator....blah blah..

I honestly don't know the answer to your hermie q's.....I did have hermies my first grow (which is why I started using Reverse and haven't had one since) but I destroyed them so can't say anything about pollination etc.....sorry.....

Hm... I thought Reverse was meant to prevent pollination BY hermies... or anything..... Like, if you used it on a plant and then exposed her to pollen, no seeds would form.
Apparently it also prevents seed formation in MONOECIOUS plants, where EVERY flower has male parts..
I hope I am not talking out my back end, but I think you could still get the herms, but they would be harmless.

Stinky I was told (3 times cause I kept not getting it)....it would prevent the formation of male flowers in a female plant and if....IF.....male flowers were to form on said plant after using reverse they would be sterile nanners. As far as I know that's all it does and said plant can get pollinated from another male. So far in my using it I have never gotten to the "if" stage (knock on wood) but I'm very careful when removing any normal males from my grow room......even with the reverse.
