Fact: Joints are not more wasteful

The art is to roll it so that when your not hitting it the tip is only slightly embering, so little that no smoke comes off of it, and it's not burning away.

Exactly...if it's not rolled right or rolled too loose, it will burn away a lot faster. I smoke joints less then blunts and bowls now, but used to a lot back in the day, and if you roll them right, they burn alright.

When I'm smoking a blunt that I rolled, sometimes you can't even tell it's lit, because there is such slight embering. I actually don't find blunts to be wasteful at all...at least mine don't really burn anything when I'm not hitting it...it just chills lol.

They base this belief on the observation of a larger stream of smoke emitted by the tip of a joint, whereas the bowl has a small thin one. THIS IS BECAUSE THE JOINT IS ALSO BURNING PAPER! This can be proven. If you make a very long, skinny joint, and smoke 1/4 of it, you can carefully unwrap the paper off of it, leaving a long weed stick intact. one thing with a joint though, is all the resin soaks into the paper so you really burn it twice. there is an art to rolling a joint, and you have to know how to hit them too, i hate fuckers who get the end all soggy!

I never really thought about it, but indeed, I do bet a lot of the smoke that just burns and rolls of the end is the paper burning...

what about a joint rolled with clear papers? those burn even slower, and its just the weed burnign there

I've been smoking pot for well over 35 years.
When I smoke joints or bongs, my sack is gone A LOT faster than when I smoke bowls, or use the volcano.
Plus, I hate the taste and smell of paper smoke.

There have been studies to see the THC conversion for each way of smoking. Joints/Blunts are about 10-15%, Glass Bowls and Bongs are about 15-20%, Vaporizers are about 90-95%. Don't remember where I read that, but its the truth. So case closed, joints waste the most marijuana.

Either you havnt read anything, or whatever you HAVE read is EXTREMELY WRONG. You'll find after a bit of research that JOINTS actually have a the HIGHEST THC transfer rate, better than pipes bongs AND vapes. Dont litter the boards with excrement.
