    how do I tell???

... when my flowers are getting close to maturity and when its time to start flushing?

I know wierd ? but I have 2 different strains all bag seed tha I have never grown before. Plus being that it is bag seed(exelent strains of course) I know literaly nothing about them and their approx flower time. I'm just curious if there are any 'tell-tale' signs to tell when my plants are reaching their maturity. I just dont wana guess and start flushing too soon and loose possible yeild yet at the same time I dont want to start flushing too late and end up with something that still taste like fertalizer....

p.s. will post some pics later this evening after the lights come back on:jointsmile:

usually folks harvest after the tricomes are half or more amber (rather than clear) so start flushing before then.
The way people tell when the tricomes have turned amber they use a magnifier (often purchased from radioshak for a reasonable price) If you have good vision like me, just get the biggest magnifying glass you can find, and look real close, and make sure you have plenty of white light (some bulbs are yellowish and can confuse you).
