No that does not increase chances of female. Taking good care of the seedling will though.... give it nice blue light- that's why the cool white- and little stress.

To create humidity is it good to put a see-through container over the pot (double the size of the pot. I heard this would be good because the moisture helps the plant concieve more water, true?)

that's asking for damping-off. No dome.
