I dont like resin in my pipe, since there is no filter for the nasty shit, so I keep it almost spotless. With no resin to hold it in, the jack always falls out when ever the bowl is emptied, or if/when it gets knocked over.

A metal screen fits pefectly into the bowl, and it doesnt come out until I pull it out.
iono man, never had problems. i must say though, ive used the jack style screens a long time and recently switched to the daisy style with the little knob on the bottom to hold it in place. they work great and seem to fit the hole a little better. and yes, i dump it all out and clean it all everytime i smoke, but no big deal. dump it in an ashtray, wipe out the bowl and put the screen back in.
