digital ph meter, buffers, don't know what i'm doing!!
hiya i got one of those digital ph meters but the instructions are like double dutch and don't really help me much. what are the buffers for and how do you use them, ie i got two bottles with the meter, one at 6.98 or something and the other one in the 4.0 region, what do you do with these, do you immerse the thing in the solution or do you mix it with water first and if so how much? the instructions mention that you use them to calibrate the meter, does that mean so that you get an accurate reading, but what one do you use? any info would be appreciated, i had a dropper test kit but the colours are quite similar and found it hard to tell the exact ph, and i need to save my plants due to a ph problem so need help asap!! thanks anyone!

digital ph meter, buffers, don't know what i'm doing!!
Here's the instructions for my meter. Hope it helps.
These instructions are pretty straightforward but, if you have any more questions, ask.
You can't really tell by looking but there are two thumbnails below. One is the general instructions, the other the calibration instructions.
Just in case it isn't obvious, the buffers are used as-is - do not mix with water.

I didn't think you were dim - I thought the instructions were written in Dutch. LOL
Anyway, at least you got the sense to ask instead of just blindly fucking up your new meter - and that's a lot smarter than many people.
