If you don't want a woman to lose respect for you, you don't necessarily have to be a jerk. Just show her that she doesn't have you wrapped around her finger. Even silly stuff can do it. I kind of enjoy messing around with my girlfriend now and then. Stuff like stealing her cookies when she's not looking and baking.
