A bunch of training pictures
Here's some training I am doing on my different plants!
1- Skunk#1- I let it get kinda stretched and then bent it over
2- OG Kush- It's already a flexible and lanky plant and I'm training it over a wire frame
3- Yeags MTF- Tight internodes!! It is planted diagonally so the secondary growth has more room to breathe
4- Toxic Lemon- I let this one get tall and bent her over too. She's been chopped for clones a couple times already. You can clearly see how the side growth takes off when exposed to light, and when the main growing tip is bent lower than the level of the secondary growth.
5- Pure Power Plant- This beast is not being trained at all. She is just getting chopped and chopped some more! I will probably retire her after 2 or 3 more rounds of clones, and flower her as a round bush.stinkyattic Reviewed by stinkyattic on . I'm sure a lot of you will ask why I let the plants get so lanky- especially the skunk and tox lemon- I find it easier to train a plant that is forced to have slightly longer internodes while it is very young. They get pinched and then start out under a 250MH that is almost 2 feet from the canopy, and stretch for a couple weeks. Then I try to spread or bend them back down to ~2/3 the height to which they had stretched. Once I have a general framework for how the main stems are going to be arranged, then I want to see tighter growth, so I put them under a 400MH.

Stinky - My plants are a lot bushier and have a lot more leaves than those in your photos. Is this because you've trimmed your plants; is it the nature of the strains; or a combination of both.
Or is it just the way they grow under your strecthing protocol?

It's a combination of the stretching protocol and also yes, there has been a decent amount of plant material removed from most of the plants in those pics.
That OG Kush clone likes to branch and just basically run amok on its own though and needs no encouragement!

stinkyattic I hope you don't mind, I'm not trying to jack your thread.
I was growing NL in a very low space and used this technique to train them to stay low.
Simply, I just take a piece of wire and bend a hook on it.
I then insert it into the soil and hook a branch pulling it down to the desired location.
I got pretty good results this way.

My internet connection is sucking shit today.
Lets try this for the 3rd time.
These are the little scrog screens I made for individual pots. Mostly use them for plants started from seed so if it's a male my screen doesn't end up with a hole in it. They're about 10" wide and about 16" long. Metal coat hanger frame and plant training wire from home depot as the net. They work pretty well, to make 2 of them cost about $5.
