Has anyone ever used this to grow cannabis?
I am currently growing in soil and am looking to upgrade to hydro after I harvest. I have been looking and researching my ASS off to try and figure out what kind of system to use. I have always liked aro versus other methods but I am also leaning tward DWC. But i have seen this system and wanted to get opinions from other cannabis growers as to how well this system would work for growing. Seems like it would work well but my main concern is that it only accomodates 3" net pots. I know that the roots go under the plant/pot and all but is a 3" pot w hydroton really big enough to support a can. plant. comments? oppinions? ~appreciated:thumbsup:

Yes.
Great system.
Those 3" net pots snap in fairly tight- no lack of support.
I wouldn't veg more than a few days- shit grows ( and overgrows) real quick in aero.
Great investment.
You should also look at the American Agritech stuff for larger systems.I assume you understand that we have options on your time,

Exactly, alot of small plants. No trees. Flower at 6 to 8 inches.
Go with the DWC if you want some big stuff. Nice if you got the bucks.

MDH, I'd LOVE to have one of those. I do a Sea of Green in rockwool/flood now, which works quite well, but I think an aero or NFT would do much better.

Yep, the pictured aero system is horizontally spaced for SoG. Zero veg time, clones get flowered as soon as they have good roots, prune off all the branching from the lower 1/3 of the plant in wks 1 & 3. Nothing but a little forest of budstalks- mainly top colas.

Has anyone ever used this to grow cannabis?
Hey everyone,
Thanks for all the responses. I have a friend who has the aeroflo 2 60 site that is willing to sell me for about a 1/4 of the price that a new system would cost me. I have always liked the way that this system is set-up. Just wasn't sure how well it woud work with weed. but now I am convinced and am going to be buying it off of him end of this week for sure.
I won't be ready to set it up yet for about another three weeks tho cause it is going to be used in my flower room. and i have about three to four weeks left till harvest... I really like the idea of going strait from clone to flower just cause it'll give me more space in my veg room...
Thanks All for the support and I'll keep everyone psted on how things go as soon as I get it set up... going to be starting a better grow log with this next grow coming up... oes anyone have any pointers and/or tips on how to use this system to its max efficiency would be greatly appreciated as well...
Peace!:hippy:

The only query I'd have about using such a system is if it is possible to harvest only part of the system's capacity at a time or if the rootmasses become so intertwined that pulling one plant would hurt others.
I run my SoG in pots in a flood system mainly so plants are portable within the op. This is handy for pruning, spraying if needed, etc as the plants can be picked up and turned around. Plants not doing as well as others can be moved into preferential lighting positions to even out growth- or easily turfed out if they're failing to thrive.
I do think aero (or NFT) will yield better than my present system, but I'm a sucker for the convenience of my low-tech stuff- so far, anyway.
