I've always heard that MJ helps people with pain. So last night I was in some serious pain (kidney stone equavelent to child birth). Every now and then I get super sharp pain spikes in my kidneys and it only lasts for 5 to 10 minutes. Last night the stone moved (passed it, like a semi truck going thru .. a... a .... PENIS) and I nearly passed out from pain.

When I felt the first pains I figured it's one of those 5 minute deals I usually go thru. When the pain moved I knew I was in trouble. I got higher then I usually get to kill this pain.

I'll admit I'm a pothead. I come home from work, day is done and I'll just blaze up. I make 110% sure it does not interfeir with business, friends, taking care of my family and I will never EVAR drive while on weed.

Last night I really REALLY needed it. We all know how much we need to get ourselves buzzed, high or fucked up. I went passed fucked up this time.

At first I was like, "yeah I showed that kidney stone who's boss yo." Then when the pain started it was like it was magnafied. It's not my first kidney stone so I knew what to expect. This was unlike any other kidney stone I'd ever passed.

Know how weed makes you feel better? I've experienced a massage while high and I nearly came in my pants. Food tastes better, water is wetter, etc. The pain was like it was going through a 10X magnafying glass!

I passed out from pain (blamed it on the one can of beer I had, yet told wife I had 12) and my I remember twitching a lot from pain.

I'm rambling, still buzzed, sorry. Wow I could have cut all the above with this one question. Dumbass!

Is it possible for MJ to increase or magnafye pain?

For me it seems to magnify everything i do.

If I'm depressed b4 i smoke, I'm gonna be really depressed after i smoke.

If I'm happy b4 i smoke, then I'm gonna be euphoric after.

I think it depends on the type..

sativas seem to make me more alert + magnify every sense.

indicas relaxe me and are what most medical marijuana's are...these kill the pain.

yes it changes your perception on the pain. Pot isn't an pain killer, but it can be used to relieve pain. It makes you feel less shitty as a whole, and it won't concentrate on stopping the acute pain you feel.

MJ's medical use's are most effective when your entire being is in pain.

Also, a trick I used once was to put a speaker on the floor face down, put on some music with heavy bass and crank it up. Lay right across the speaker....seems to break up the stone a bit. Eased the pain too! I'm no doctor but it worked for me the one time........just passin' the word.

As to the poster, it doesn't help every kind of pain, nor does it work for everyone in the same manner, for me however I have pain in my lower back and marijuana certainly alleviates my pain..

The pain was unlike anything I've ever experienced. I never passed out from pain and you could say it was the weed, but I know it was from pain.

I used an Indica strain and it made me more aware of my body. If something feels good then it's going to feel great. Now I know that if something feels bad, it's going to be hell.

While I was passed out I was twitching on the floor and sometimes looked like a piece of bacon on a frying pan (twitch twitch twitch shake). I was passed out yet knew that I was in pain.

Last time this happened I popped 4 Vikes and two Coronas and I didn't feel a damn thing. I pased the stone and I laughed afterwards as I seen the blood drip from my wee wee.

This time ..... (shivers) I'll never smoke weed for pain relief again.

The absolute best thing for kidney stones is beer. Drink as much beer as you can hold. Drink & piss, drink & piss, drink & piss. Alcohol DOES releive pain and the hops make you piss like a race horse. Pissing a lot = kidney function. Lots of kidney function = stone B gone.

No work for me today, can hardly walk. I'm hunched over like a 82 year old Italian lady who had 12 kids. Who smokes pot.

Don't get me wrong, it helps with minor pain. But for big pain, sharp pain it's best to actually use pain killers.

No, it does help with major pain too, just not all types and not in everybody. For me it used to help massively with my back and neck pain, now it doesn't do anything. It kills ths sciatica, but I smoke more than a little and it makes my pain way worse. The body's a weired thing indeed.

my dad has cancer and with all the chemotherapy and radiothreapy he was really sick chould not eat lost looads of weight and was so weak,and all they gave him was loads of morphine for the pain and sleeping pills for the night,so i started making him weed tea,and got him smoking some nice indicas afghani 1 and hindu ,he got his hunger back and started eating,
that was 2 years ago he hardly takes the shit the hospital gave him and he has put all his weight back on and is doing well.But i have found it to inharnce nerve pain but it workks very well with musale pain.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
