if memory serves me, cannabis uses a lot of phosphorus, which is the middle nutrient on fertilizers. The first is nitrogen and the third is potassium. I got a bottle of super-concentrated Schultz 10-15-10 fertilizer with lots of micronutrients at home depot, and it was like $4. It says to use 7 drops per quart of water, and i have about half a pint of the stuff. good luck!

um, wait, are you using hydroponics (as opposed to soil) with no nutrients?! cause that's a huge no-no.

It's soilless but I don't think it's hydro. But still, it's almost like doing Hydro without nutes. There is no food besides what it's getting from the water. No soil to get nutes from.

Sorry I could not resist the perfect opportunity to use my new pic, lol...

Soilless and hydro are treated the same.
If you are using simply perlite/vermiculite be prepared for all the water testing and tweaking that hydro growers endure.
    You must use fertilizer.
The misinformation re: the appropriateness of that Schultz crap for growing cannabis shoudl be ignored. In veg, you need higher nitrogen. In flower, you need higher P but the N in that walmart shit is WAY too high for flowering.
If you are going soilless you have even MORE need to buy cannabis-specific fertilizers.
If you want to use cheap ferts, start with a compost mix that is more forgiving.

So wait, i shouldn't be using "that Schultz crap"?

I would think that'd be fine supplemental fertilizer for growing in soil, which is what i'm doing, but it took me a few minutes to realize that he was growing hydroponically with no nutrients. I don't know anything about hydroponics.

That shults stuff is NOT ideal- or even CLOSE- for soil either because of the REALLY high N level, plus it's not great quality.

For cheap/good quality, the botanicare line is GREAT. Power Plant/Power Flower is dirt cheap and good, and PureBlend Pro is organic and better. Still cheap.
