    Norway: world's greatest country

Its life expectency, literacy, GDP, etc., and their #1 ranking on the U.N. Index since 2001 speaks for itself.

If Americans, Canadians, or others claim that they are the best, it's just blind patriotism.

We had a large Norwegian immigrant population in Brooklyn at one time, so apparently it wasn't always as desirable to stay there.

Norway has gotten rich from their offshore oil. They can afford to do whatever they want.

They've got 4.6 people in the whole country, which is a little more than half of the population of New York City. Hell, Brooklyn alone has over half the population amount of Norway!

True, but that make them something of an exception. Compare the standard of living in japan or western europe to natural resource rich africa. Or most of the middle east, floating on a see of oil and nothing to show for it.

lol, I guess you about 1 1/2x better than the rest of us P4B:thumbsup:.

I'm glad to see this thread. It started to annoy the hell out of me when, on one year, the UN declared Canada the best nation to live on Earth and Canadians kept bragging about it every year since, long since we'd been surpassed.

Now lets see, I'll have to figure out how great I am based on the fact my ancestors are Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Norwegian, Swedish, French, German, Australian, British, and a very small dash of Metis

LMAO! I wouldn't go that far but it's nice to see their heritage/pride restored once again. My great, great, great, great, great grandpa Oden enjoyed the frills of the Viking era........time for a "New Generation" to take pride in what they have accomplished.

    Ha en god en!:s4:
