Because the box it came in said "Laser-etched Glassware" lmfaoooo

But, I have worked in the engineering industry, which is increasingly using (bad grammar - same excuse as you lol) lasers in the production thing...

start again:

Lasers are fast becoming the norm in the engineering industry, of which I have had some experience. From that experience, I have gained the knowledge that lasers are extremely versatile - they can cut sheet steel of up to 8mm in thickness, to a tolerance of 0.001mm!
My father works in Argon Gas Emission Spectrometry (which also employs lasers), and thus have gain a little knowledge about lasers there too.

But mainly I know, because it said: "Laser-etched Glassware", on the box hehehe
