    Pollen...... or Hermo plants?????

We have our 4th cycle that had been pollinated We're really tired of cutting out beans from our soup!!!!

We thought that the problem may have occured from some plants that we got from a guy and ran them thru the bloom cycle (we don't do this any more, no more unknown stuff in our space!!!!). After our 1st problem we cleared out the room and washed out the whole space, including the walls, and the outside cover of our filter system with water.

We've done this now 3 times, and I'm wondering if our mom's may have changed and hermo'ed??? We have 3 af-goo moms, that are 3+ years old and wondering if anyone can make suggestions to help us figure this one out?????

Light leaks???? Hmmmm, maybe some very small ones...... Can you detail why this might make an effect???

Heat - Our room runs about 74-82F. We are using 600W & cool tubes with our system and they seem to work well. We have our intake/exhaust systems controlled via a temp sensor.

We do not really inspect out plants regularly, but I have not seen any bananas.

In regards to Bubba growing next door..... LOL!!! We do not have any sources (that I know of) as we are rural and I have neighbors that do not partake in these green operations.

I guess what I need to know is your opinion if we are we doing enough to sterilize our operations and if the light might be screwing up this aspect of this operation.

Thanks for your comments about our former kid, she was a great cook..... But we always had black hair in the vanilla ice cream!!! LOL!!!

    lol @ ice cream!

    temps are good.

light leaks are problematic- the plant will bear healthy flowers only in a full-darkness environment... if it gets any light during dark time, it is going to do either or both of 2 things: Sort of stay in a state where it is still doing some vegetative growth and you will lose out on bud mass, and throw banannas because it is under stress.

Fix the leaks- go in there at 'night' with a roll of duct tape and go nuts.

Inspect for male sex parts every couple days

AND.... consider a strain that herms less easily.I have no experience with that one but you might play around a bit.

    Thanks for your info!!!!

Right now we are running af-goo (which is the usual) and for the first time we have Mango in the space (they are 7' tall and have huge noogies all over the place). I don't really know much about these, but the af-goo are a great producer, excellent final effect and smell really nice! The Hospice folks here start drooling when they open the bags.

I went into the space this afternoon, and we do have a slight light leak under the door, so I'm going to fix that problem tonight.
