12 CFL's was too hot... Go with a couple 4ft t8?
I had a 400w hps/mh but it was too hot so i moved on to cfl's and 12 were too hot too(but I had a small cabnet) so im thinking since I have a larger full size closet and can get cheap t8 bulbs should I just put like a comercial 4 foot fixtures in the closet or Would I be better off with the cfl setup?
I could really use this help cause setting up tomarrow! thanksbigt Reviewed by bigt on . 12 CFL's was too hot... Go with a couple 4ft t8? go back to the hps and engineer some cooling/vent setup. moving air around will help alot. Are you hydro of soil?? Temps where my set up is reaches the 100s mid day, and i use frozen water bottles to keep the rez 68deg, and 2 fans to keep the air temps in the mid-high 80s. Im using 1 150hps and 8 23wcfls

Can you hook up a cool tube to that 400 watt and exhaust it some place?
I just made one for my 150 HPS and added 2 42 CFLs and the temps usually max in the low 80's now. Before the cool tube I couldn't have the CFL's, the cab would overheat.
