Is it wrong to grind up all of your weed at once?

Who said THC escapes the buds? That's just plain stupid. THC is not fucking gas is it?

Grinding all your bud wont do anything. You'll get lots of crystalls left over though, so you can either collect them and smoke em on they're own and then smoke the weed, or just add the crystalls back in the bag with your groubd weed. Either way, grinding your weed all at once wont make any differnt at all to how good it is.

I dont grind it all when i get it though, i grind up half oz for the day and im set.

Yes, i agree completely that if any bud is left out it'll dry and start to degrade in potency.

But, we're not talking about leaving them out, i was under the assumption that everyone stores their bud in something airtight - and if the bud, or gound bud is stored in something air tight, in a cool dark place, nothing will degrade, and it wont matter how much surface area there is.

But you are right, if left out in the open, ground up bud would degrade faster than non ground up buds.

damnit he beat me too it. apparently reaper is a man of science as well. i would stand on the side of not grinding it until you need, because of the increased surface area leads to a faster degradation of the bud and like someone else said what happens if you spill it? accidents are a part of the game. i wouldn't want to have to try and scrap up a quarter of shake. but to each their own, i personally wouldn't do it.

even if you keep it in a air tight jar when you open the jar you are letting more air into the jar containg the bud with increased surface area. so yes the bud will dry out sooner. an air tight jar is not the end all be all to keeping your weed fresh. to keep any new air from getting in the jar the only time you could open it is if you opened it in a vaccum. practical huh? lol

I was waiting for that response, 'cause if someone else didn't say it..I was gonna.

I have a kief catcher on my grinder so I'm not worried about losing any of the fun stuff..most grinders have 'em so I assume your's does too?

I like to grind as much as I can at once. It's easier.

...air(oxygen),heat, and light degrades THC....do what you think best.........

Keeping it in an air tight jar is the best way to keep bud at it's optimum, and opening it for a few seconds will not make the slightest bit of a differnce.

Curing bud is the most important part of drying, not only does it give it it's weedy smell and taste by breaking down the chemicals like chlorophyl, it also activates more THC.

Now, to cure, the bud is placed in [normally] and air tight glass mason jar, and the top is opened for an hour or two everyday. Now, in this hour or two that it IS exposed nothing is lost. Infact, it gets more potent.

Think about it logically. Opening an air tight jar for a few seconds isnt going to make a differnce at all.

Weather the bud is ground up or not, it makes no differnce.

The bud wont degrade faster [unless it's in the open all the time]

So, in answer to the question, theres no reason you shuoldnt grind it all up at once, it makes no differnce - it's your choice.

And yes BFA, i have a couple of crystall catchers.
