    Cheap Ph tester!!!

when i was in eighth grade we would test the ph of things. I remembered that my teacher used red cabbage as an indicator. U gotta chop up red cabbage or blend it. Then filter out the juice and pour a few drops in what you are testing. if you want to test soil just put drained water from the soil in a cup and pour a few drops inside. This will indicate what ph the soil is.

Here is a table of approximate colors of red cabbage indicator solution at different pH's. If you wish, make your own chart, using chemicals of known pH.

    pH 2 4 6 8 10 12
Color Red Purple Violet Blue Blue-Green Greenish Yellow

    Cheap Ph tester!!!

It was the thought of having to purchase cabbage often to check my ph 3 times a day that i didnt understand, not the fact that it could be done.
