Depends on the state. Public intoxication is a wide blanket law and can include drugs. Some states you can be arrested for possession if you fail a drug test performed by the cops. Problem is getting the warrant for this test. Anyone who wants to be offensive and say this is wrong, this info comes straight from a cop who works in a state with this law on the book. My state doesn't have this law as far as I know. It comes from the fact that if it is in your system it had to come from somewhere it just didn't magically appear so at some time you possessed it.

I do not agree with this law at all.

i think as long as you arent carrying around a bag of funyons and saying 'im sooo fucked up right now' reallly loud , you should be ok, take some visine and keep yourself under control and you'll be fine.

to tell you the truth when i go out stoned i never think about getting caught i just think about the shit i need to be doing and what i need to do to get them done. id say don't worry about it as long as your minding your own business.. even though when i went into hot topic i was buying a sticker and the lady goes ARE YOU STONEDD??? i just laughed at her and was like yeahhh, she said i was cute. lol...
