Ya man don't be such a douche to him. Everybody's always spewing this bullshit that somebody's suffering isn't valid just because somebody else has it worse. Somebody else always has it worse. If he feels like this, and this is what made him feel like it, then it's real. And he's hardly being selfish, he's upset because he lost the $100 his grandfather gave to him, that's called being gratefull.

aaaaa8, this scale (and bigger) of shit will inevitably happen in your life. You can't fight Karma, you can only make your own. Karma btw, isn't some mystical force that judges the universe, it's the inevitable set of events set in motion by every individuals actions. When you let something like this ruin your mindset, you're fighting against the inevitable, the very nature of the universe. What you want to focus on, to really give importance in your mind, is how you can guide your current circumstances in the best way possible. If you really want it, really focus on it, you can alleviate suffering of any sort, suffering that is caused by fighting your karma, rather than controlling it.

You're life is a raging river man and you can't paddle against the current, just avoid the rocks and take the best routes down.
