I'm not a psychologist, but I've dealt with a lot of problems in my life. You have to realize that there is something wrong, possibly a sickness, and not eating is making you sicker. In my case, because of celiac disease, eating certain things made me feel worse, even crazy - and not eating was sometimes a relief, but not a solution. This may be an eating disorder, or a potential one. Eating a small amount of healthy foods such as meat, fruit, nuts, fish and vegetables every day will make you healthier than you are now, until you can get on a full diet.

The psychologist is probably right about taking medication. I tried zoloft for a year, and it helped. Your doctor may have a medication that is perfect for you, or at least good enough to help get you through this, along with counseling.

As far as work, isn't there a part-time job you could get? You have to grab a prospective employer and convince him or her that it would be beneficial for them to hire you. If there is extremely high unemployment where you live, or you live in a remote area, this may not be easy, or even possible. You may want to try social agencies for help with employment. You might be eligible for food stamps, if you haven't got them already, .

If you can't think straight, the problems will get worse. I'd advise listening to the psychologist - they are trained to help people like yourself, but it doesn't work unless you cooperate.

Good luck.
