Shields up!
Has anyone tried this site? It apparently test your PC security settings for you. They were reccomending it on the radio last night.

McAfee Site advisor gives it a green tag. That usually means its safe to download stuff from that site and you dont get a lot of spam.

there are tons of Safe "security" programs out there that you could use also. there is even one from Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer. But then again MS is sending out security patches out every week to fix holes in there system so i am not to sure if i would trust that one LOL

the shields up thing isnt really a security prog, more an advisor, it probes all your ports to see if they ping the server back or whatever, and highlights any weak spots
....a secure "stealthed" port wont even aknowledge its own presence by responding to any packets being sent to it, so to the potential hacker, they may be sending info to your system, and if they get some kind of reply they know they have found some hardware but "stealthed" ports appears to them that they are just sending data out into the either...
again im not vouching for how safe it is, but its a great concept.

Its brilliant, It tests all of your ports (hacker attack points) to see wheter there visible? or wether a hacker can penetrate them (analy) with ease. It dosn't mean your 100% secure if it says your okay but for the average joe its peace of mind. not to sketch you out but your never 100% secure there is always new software with more bugs and hole and hackers will always well, hack
peace out dudes.
