Don't worry, hun! You deserved it and you deserve the happiness. You're just trying to hedge your "karma," but there's really no need. You already paid by having put up with that loser colleague for so long at first. Plus you must be one of those people who automatically thinks on some level that you don't deserve the good stuff that happens. I'm the same way. But the truth is, we do deserve it.

Keep doing what you're doing. Keep making the store look good and your boss look good. Keep selling and finding ways to boost those numbers. All of that's what your bosses notice. Also remember that just because you have the best office and have been set apart, so to speak, you still have other colleagues, too, who'll be relying on your friendliness and support and your example. The District Manager came to the store today. I made a sign on those dry erace boards and made it all pretty and girly, and taped ballons on the outside of the board. I put all the sale and clearance items on there, and they were colored coded with the ballons on the products so they were easily found and stood out. The first thing he done when he came in the store was stop and look at the sign. Rating: 5
