My natural eating style is to eat about five small meals per day. Just seems to work better that way. That makes it harder for me to keep weight on, however, and I struggle with that.

I eat a well-balanced diet with good nutrition. But thanks to my messed up insides, I don't absorb all the nutrients I take in. I had a bad ruptured appendix about 18 years ago that left me with peritonitis that required cleanout surgery to remove the bottom end of my stomach and almost half of my small intestines in two different sections. So I run short of calcium, iron, B12 and several other things. I take supplements, but without the part of your insides that absorb those nutrients, they still don't do much good. The good thing is I'll never struggle with being overweight, but there's danger in being too thin, too, and with even minimal stress or health problems, I tend to drop more weight. That's not good, as some of you know, for my heart electricity.

Lately because I'm in relaxed summer-break mode, I've been eating less healthily. I do fine during the day, but then at night I'll tiptoe into the kitchen and start nipping at Doritos with ranch dip (last night) or peanut butter cookies (tonight). I'm chasing those with a diet orange soda. I could definitely be doing better. . . .
birdgirl73 Reviewed by birdgirl73 on . What kind of diet/nutrition do you have? So I was just curious how my fellow stoners approach diet and nutrition. erm.... yeah I'm a stoner again, lol. I only smoke little bits about once-twice a week, no need for more, but it's enjoyable as long as I do it no more that. Anywhoo... I'm pretty obsessive about the nutrition. I check the nutrients on all the packaged food I eat and make sure everything's balanced out. It's really not as difficult as it sounds, it's just become habbit and I don't feel like it's a burden at all. I Rating: 5
