why does weed make you so happy when your high???? whats the thing in it that affects your brain that gives you that feeling of euphoria??

Damn why is it that everytime i get high.....My mind just starts overflowing with thoughts and I seem to Over analyze my problems and magnify them like 10x more than what they really are?? Man I just been in the deepest thinkin state as of late when I get blowed. It's kind of killing my high.

And another thing when I get high I truley believe the weed reveals things to me that I simply cant see while sober this happen to anyone else??

That's what "being high" means. Your mind has ascended itself and you have a different perception of the world, at least for a couple hours. Serotonin is the chemical that makes you feel euphoric, but I don't think very much of it is released as a result of consuming cannabis-just dopamine, the "reward" chemical. Yeah I guess you broke it down pretty well. And as far as bud making me feel euphoric I guess it just depends on person to person because it really makes me happy and gives me a sense of well being unlike anything else. :stoned:

The following is just a summary of the link in my signature:

Basically, you have a chemical called Dopamine, which is the 'reward' chemical in your brain and one of the 'happy' chemicals (along with serotonin and norepinephrine)

Now, most drugs (heroin, amphetamines, alcohol, meth, cocaine) work by affecting the dopamine directly. This contrasts from cannabis, in that cannabis does NOT directly act upon your dopamine.

Instead, there is another cell, called the GABA cell. The GABA cell is responsible for inhibiting (stopping) the release of dopamine. THC stops the GABA from stopping your dopamine, so your dopamine levels go up.

That's how it works. Contrary to what all the 'experts' say it doesn't work on your dopamine directly nor does it really affect serotonin.

Man, anyone ever get that feeling where you appreciate small things.

Like the other night when I went to watch family guy I noticed that all the discs where in the right cases, and that they were all in there. I was like "Yeah man, good things be happenin' " 'cause I coulda easily had to search for those discs, but I didn't.
