Splitting mp3 tracks up

You know when you download an album or whatever and its in one long track instead of 15 smaller ones or whatever like a cassette lol

Well does anyone know any software thats easy to use so i can split them up into smaller tracks myself

Damned good question I have been needing software like that for ages so I can skip tracks etc.
