Clicked Chat out of curiosity and got that error.

I'm guessing that the java chat client or the chat protocol associated doesn't parse the ' in my username? :wtf:

When I try to connect, I am getting an Access Denied error
If you are having trouble connecting and are receiveing the following error: Err U483. Access Denied. The user name you entered is not permitted, please note that your username is not your email address, and should not contain any special characters. Choose an appropriate screen name that you would like to appear as in the chat!

Note: user names are unique, so if you still can't connect, chances are someone else may have chosen the name you are trying to use. Try another name.

simple search brought this up, so looks like it. only got 6 posts so might wanna think about a new name possibly

how (and who) would I contact for a name change? unlike other vB forums, I can't seem to click the profile of a mod and send a pm, so maybe I'm not getting something.

hopefully a mod will see this thread and help out.
