Ok, I'm sure you love animals and I'm sure you don't slaughter them on your back patio but these facts come from the people who run the organization. It's not like these come from some PETA member in a studio apartment barely involved in the organization.

True that. PETA is like one of the biggest organizations in the world, so there's bound to be a few more extremists than other groups. The crazy people that make the headlines do not represent what PETA actually stands for. trust me.

Screw pen and teller, and screw alek bladwin! Thats not the point. The point is that these are a few a-holes that make PETA look bad. Most of the people who support peta, like myself just want better humane treatments for animals. We want to help animals any way we can. We want to stop abuse. Whats wrong with that at all? Most of the people on that site are not these extreme, "NO ONE EATS MEAT AND IF YOU WEAR FUR WE THROW BLOOD ON YOU!". That happens but that isn't peta. And if they say its peta there full of crap, we disown those people. Instead we leaflet, have peaceful protests and lay downs, stuff the aclu and other civil rights people have been doing for years. You cant bash the whole civil rights organizations b/c of a few rouge people.
