I'll rep me some ninjas. Imagine Bruce Lee dressed in full black with whatever weapon he could possibly want. Could a pirate take that?

Yeah and when they raided a neighboring vessel for gold and treasure they also took their fair share of the ladies I assure you. However I could imagine a pirate fucking a ninja since they're so feminine.

Bah, ninja's would be winning in the poll if Ninja's of the Carribean were out instead!
I definately voted ninja's. I mean, pirates are just a rabble of escaped convicts. Ninja's have awsome training for several years, they climb walls and buildings and unclimbable shit, they kill with stealth and skill, and once I was reading about them and their training, and it was describing how they could freez in their steps, blending into the dark, and hold that possition all night long if necessary.

Pirate may love the "Booty" if you know what I mean, but they also LOVE that rum. And we all know about certain "problems" chronic alcoholics have...Can the Jolly Roger sail at half-mast?

skill doesn't always trump brute force ya know.... a TRAINED person, is still likely to have conscience and fear.... an 'escaped convict' has nothing but adrenaline driving him.... in times of battle, not caring is the best caring you can do.

Man, haven't you read up on Bushido and the whole Japanese method of training any type of warrior? Ninja's are brutal, their minds are sharp, their muscles are super strong and lightning fast, and there's no way in hell a properly trained ninja would let fear get the best of him! Not to mention, adrenalin can be detrimental too, ever had the gumby legs? lol.
