Soil
So I'm absolutely new to this and I bought potting soil and other supplies today. Only when I got home did I realize that the potting soil I bought may potentially be absolutely wrong-- it's got built-in fertilizer. Is this entirely disasterous? When should I start fertilizing the plants?

after sprouting you should not feed you plants for about the first 2 weeks.
And when you do start feeding your plants start with a fairly diluted fert solution and gradually work your way up.

You can just get some plain potting soil and mix it with some perlite. Save the nuted stuff for the repot in a few weeks.
