Off to a great start Lestie - loving the tight short internodes. You see that with T5 lights often so youre doin great.
Where did you get that bucket? I'm looking for a 15 or 20 gallon one with a split lid like yours. I wanna use it as a small res. I did a websearch for 15g black dog food bucket (per your desc. LOL) and only got a bunch of crap.

ok guys, new pix. lots and lots of new growth, unbelievable!!!
got a pic of the new giant unmodified 400w hps. i have to take it apart and make a remote out of it... but it works for now.
doco, i've looked online myself and can't find them. but, i do think that petsmart sells the dog food and it comes in buckets. the brand name is... ummm....geez, if you hadn't asked....
let me go see...

wh, they are only ten inches tall!! i have room for them to get four feet max, so i figured i'd follow crispi's technique of a looooong veg and a hiiiiiigh yeild. i'm hoping for a good yeild, anyway

this is my first grow with dwc... i hope for the best

1st off, mega mega king kong props for such vibrant looking plants! My hats off on your n00b experience. And this is from one n00b to an0ther.
2nd, I had to LOL at the sight of that street light hovering over the plants!! I don't think I've ever seen it done that way, but LOL again and again, we people know how to rig up what we need right?
Think I might shimmy up the street light outside and make a platform, throw a plant up there and see what happens. 
Wiring up a remote ballast and making it all look "purdy" is a cinch and you shouldn't have any issues.
