    can i use 150w bulb on 250w ballast??

    is it possible to use a 150w hps bulb (or any bulb) on a 250w hps ballast, with out any risk?

    i dont think so, its gonna blow the light right away, but be carefull... the 250 w ballast has the power to turn om a 250 HPS bulb, if you put a smaller, its gonna be overpowerd... dont do it, unless you talk with a pro electric dude..

    A HID bulb (HPS, MH, MV) will draw as much power as it has available to it, in the case of a power overload it could blow, and if you payed attention in chemistry, you should know that sodium exposed to moisture will explode violently, possibly blinding, or killing you. Spend the $35.00 and get a 250W bulb.
    I need to think of something clever to put here...
