Iran president sees "countdown" to Israel's end

I actaully heard on a news broadcast a while back, I forget which one, that the original translation of Ahmadinejad's statement 2 years ago was incorrect. When he supposedly said "whipe Israel off the map", some have argued that the translation was faulty and he was actually saying something more to the effect of "whipe away" the Israeli regime. I don't know if this is correct so don't quote me on it later, but if so it's really no more extreme than the western allied nations talking about whiping away the Iranian regime.

This current statement seems to be of the same effect, referring to removing the current regime and putting in place the "right" one, albeit probably some piece of crap Sharia-law governed state. I've yet to see a direct statement that the Iranian government actually wants to destroy Israel itself, though I wouldn't be surprised if they did considering the terrorist and war efforts they support financially and through munitions. Until we do though, I think we shoul be careful about jumping on any statement and declaring them evil in league with Satan before all the facts are apparents. We do after all, just like in every nation, get fed the view of our (potential) opponents that we're supposed to see, not necessarily the accurate portrayal. Diplomacy should never be taken off the table.

Evil is a phrase bandied about by neocons to purport a necessity to eliminate a country of their choice. If you listen to the countrys that are on the list, they call us the great Satan. So..are ya saying there ain't no such thing as evil ? Or..are ya saying that the enemies that the Free World faces,ain't evil ? I don't need anyone to tell me who or what's evil,I can figure that out on my own and I'd hope that you would as well. For instance,I know that the arabs worked with hitler,in WW2 in North Africa,to help hunt down and slaughter,Jews..the muslim-arabs would be working with hitler still,if they could-but fortunately the generation of that time,recognized the evil that we faced and they went and defeated it. Our brave troops recognize the kind of evil that we are facing at this time and they are trying to defeat it,but it ain't easy with politicians trying to micro-manage the war tactics and Americans that claim that standing up to evil,is evil it's self and so they use every excuse to excuse the murderous,tortorous muslim jihadists and paint our troops as terrorists,instead..talk about bass-ackwards !

If we stopped giving Israel aid it would solve alot of our problems. Also, I as an American don't give a shit about the asscrack of the world aka the Middle East. I think America should be more isolationist and not give two shits about the rest of the world. More people would have less of a problem with us and we would attempt to reindustrialize the U.S. Bush really did fuck us over with Iraq because it makes more people hate us, waste money, and most importantly waste people's lives. I'm not a liberal, can't stand them. They are complete pussies and a liberal president would be the reincarnation of Neville Chamberlain. I think to have success we need a moderate (or someone with intelligence).

That's the official reason for their enemies to be pissed off, but the islamic extremists will always find a reason to hate Israel, especially so long as there's the land disputes between the Israeli's and the Palestinian's. And yes, I think it was totally unjustified that they evicted thousands of palestians and stole their farmland to give it to the Jews but; Now it's just become an excuse for hatred and violence. Everybody body loves to justify themselves with vague societal generalizations by sayinig "the Israeli's did this to us", but lets face the facts, the Israeli's and palestinian's involved in the original seizures are a former generation. The guys fighting now are just creating a common enemy by cultural relation, attributing the wrongs of the past to those who are merely related to the wrongdoers. Palestianian's do have a right to reclaim a lot of their stolen land, yes, but nobody has the right to slaughter inocents because of it.

I agree, peace is the answer. But unfortunately, I don't see that happening anytime soon. You have people on this site that want to carpet Bomb the whole middle east, like that will solve the worlds problems. As long as people think that gunboat diplomacy is the order of the day, you can kiss your peace dreams goodby! I have a shitload of guns, not that I want to start a war, but if one comes my way, I'm not going to lie down in the middle of the road. I have at least one for every member of my family, so when called upon, they can defend themselves. I believe in peaceful solutions, But, if you try and impose your will upon me without justification, I will Fight.
