Vaporizer info

Im just an old counrty boy and have grown up using papers. I like my lil dug out just for convenience, and have taken my bong hit from time to time but have not had any dealings with a vaporizer. Can someone feel me in? Are they worth the money? Should I run out and buy one? how much should I spend? Thanks for your input

Ive never owned one but people say you can get high from half of what you usually use. Good vaporisers are $150 up to $500 for a volcano. Only cons are the price and you dont get that smoking feeling...ya know?

I bought the ubie for $10 and *love* it. The Ubie --Worlds smallest Vaporizer

As far as "how high" versus "amount smoked" the ubie allows me to smoke one third of the bud I would normally need to smoke in a joint. I love the thing. It also totally eliminated my smokers cough.

A downfall is that it probably heats the cannabis hotter then an expensive "volcano" type vaporizer... so you might get some smoke in there. But it still doesn't burn it if you use it right, so I don't know... maybe it is just as efficient. I've never used a volcano type vaporizer, so I can't compare the two. Also, the ubie is small, so you can't do but a few hits before you have to re-pack the chamber. For me its perfect though, because I don't smoke a ton.

The only other downfall of the ubie is that it is so short that, if I don't do the "fix" I'll describe in a second, then the hot air burns my throat like a short little one-hitter pipe. But to get around that, I use a second long glass pipe and just hold the ubie in the bowl end of that, essentially making the ubie like 5 times longer. It seals tight because of the rubber on the end of the ubie. Not only does that let the vapors cool significantly before I inhale them, but it lets me look at the ubie sideways as I vaporize so I can back off with the lighter once I start to see vapor coming down the tube. And I just empty and re-pack when all the bud has gone from green to dark brown.

I've owned a Vapor Brothers vaporizer (pencil box shaped device) and it's pretty sweet for many reasons. Here are my top 10 in no particular order.

TOP TEN REASONS TO GET A VAPOR BROTHERS VAP

1) Vaporizing is the most efficient of blazing and the cleanest.

2) The piece slides onto the blue neon lit probe and holds on until you take it off to stir the ganj. The vaporizer comes with 2 metal stirrers and 1 wooden stick which are great tools for stirring as well as rolling perfect joints.

3) The box has neon lights. Ballin.

4) It has a knob, which after a couple uses you know how to work. On other vaporizers, you can get a digital reading of the temperature. It doesn't matter.

5) It hits for a long time.

6) I got mine at a local headshop for $200, but you can get them online for much cheaper, like $150-175. I just choose to support local businesses.

7) It comes with a decent sized hose, but I'd recommend going to a hardware store and getting a longer one if you want. But, it's like 3 feet/4 feet stock.

8) It doesn't smell as much as lighting a blunt so if you live in university dorms you'll be cool.

9) Everyone loves it, people will throw down to use it.

10) Totally different high. More body high.
